The ISBD is a membership organization that serves as the principal international organization for the promotion of research, education, good clinical practice and advocacy in bipolar disorders.

The ISBD  has approximately 500 members from all over the world.  The ISBD also has numerous active international chapters with countless chapter members. To find a Chapter near you visit our map.

The ISBD has several different membership categories.  To identify the best membership for your needs and geographical location, please visit Membership.

To join the ISBD online click on Membership, select the appropriate membership category, and follow the instructions.

ISBD accepts personal and business checks, bank wire transfers, and most major credit cards including American Express, MasterCard, Visa, and Discover for the payment of membership dues.

Memberships run on a rolling basis.  A membership will expire after one year at the end of the month of purchase.  For example, if you purchaed your membership on March 2, 2019, it will expire on March 31, 2020.   Membership can be manually renewed each year or you may choose to set up auto renewal so that your membership automatically renews each year.

You can update your contact information by logging in to the Member Zone and selecting “Manage your account”.You can also update your contact information by contacting Mary G. Miller, ISBD Program Manager, at marym@isbd.org.
