The Cohort FACE-BD was built under the auspices of the Fondation FondaMental to follow a large cohort of BD patients in order to better understand trajectories, predict outcomes, identify mechanisms and markers of stratification, follow up the impact of therapeutic strategies, new care organisation and associated costs. BD patients included, assessed, sampled and followed-up in this cohort are recruited in the 10 Expert centers for Bipolar Patients in France. They all share same assessment procedures, data bases and biobank. Today 3900 bipolar patients have been assessed, 2200 have been assessed at least twice, 1000 have given a biological sample and more than 60 papers published.

• Cooperate with centers established in university or state hospitals dealing with the treatment of bipolar disorders, strengthen and support their works.
• Ensure that the information pertinent to up to date developments on the issue of bipolar disorders is included in the post-graduate trainings of the mental health workers dealing with treatment, and organize training programs towards this aim.

1. Create spaces for meeting and discussion related with the Bipolar Disorder, with psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, social workers, and other mental health professionals interested in the study and treatment of this disorder
2. Create, promote and support national and international conferences, in addition to workshops and seminars, in order to provide recent and relevant scientific information, which supports the development of continuing medical education
3. Promote awareness, diagnosis and alert in the medical community in Venezuela, and the rest of the health system to include non-psychiatric medical staff, nurses, paramedics, among others
4. Support the Venezuelan foundations of bipolar patients, their families and relatives to join to schemas suitable  of psychoeducation and support groups where we can manage and monitor these activities
5. Create and coordinate research networks of mental health professionals in Venezuela interested in the bipolar disorder and other mood disorders.  This point represents a major challenge for the ISBD Venezuela, because in our country, the local research has occurred in a very poor level, having to rely on information from other latitudes
6. To help promoting ISBD values, publications and activities, inviting other professionals to register and participate actively in the ISBD.  
7. Developing tools for statistical and epidemiological surveillance in terms of the population behavior of the disorder, thereby supporting government and private institutions who work in this area
8. Participate actively in academic exchanges in the different postgrads of psychiatry and clinical psychology at the universities of our country
9. Perform expert consensus regarding diagnosis and treatments of patients with bipolar disorders, supported by international guidelines and consensus, but with local suggestions.
