ISBD Supported Memberships for Psyhiatric Trainees

The International Society for Bipolar Disorder (ISBD) is committed to promoting awareness and education on bipolar disorders among mental health professionals worldwide. As a step toward meeting this goal in the global community, the ISBD has offered psychiatric trainees complimentary memberships in the Society since this program was launched in 2001.

In addition to offering more opportunities for trainees to become meaningfully involved in the Society, we have extended the term to of sponsorship to two-years, opened it to junior faculty up to the Assistant Professor or equivalent level, and recruited 70% of trainees from countries outside the Canada, the US and Western Europe.

All supported memberships for the 2008-2009 term have been filled.
Applications for the 2010-2011 term will be posted in mid to late 2009.
