Past Award Opportunities:

GSK Junior Investigator Bipolar Disorder Travel Fellowships

The ISBD offered 10 Travel Fellowships to attend our meeting on January 27-30 2008 (details at www.kenes.com/isbd). These fellowship awards were open to MD and/or PhD psychiatric residents, postgraduate students and junior faculty up to the Assistant Professor or equivalent level with less than five years as faculty in their career trajectory.  

Fellowship winners received:

• Travel and meeting expenses to attend the 3rd Biennial Conference of the International Society for Bipolar Disorders
• A complimentary 2 year membership in the ISBD
• An opportunity to present a poster at the conference.
• Participation in special programs at the meeting with an assigned mentor I
• Invitation to a reception for fellowship winners and mentors.

Awards were offered for those from category 1 and 2 countries according to the ISBD Dues by Country listing (based on World Bank Classifications).  Six of the 10 awards will be offered for those from category 1 countries.  Winners must commit to attending the entire conference and presenting a poster in order to receive the award.
