Samuel Gershon, MD is the ISBD President and Chair of the ISBD Scientific Advisory Committee. Dr. Gershon is a senior psychiatrist at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and is a past member of the NIMH Initiative for Treatment of Bipolar Disorders.

Dr. Gershon chairs the committee of experts consisting of ISBD healthcare professionals with expertise in various areas of bipolar disorders: pharmacology, neuroscience, psychopathology and psychotherapy.
