The International Society for Bipolar Disorders offers a wide array of membership levels for professionals, advocates, patients and their families. ISBD also offers reduced rates patients & family members, and professionals in developing countries.

Membership rates are based off World Bank Classifications. Membership rates per Area are as follows:

  • Area 1:
    • Professional: $150/year or $285/2 years
    • Professional Online: $75/year
    • Patient or Family: $35/year
  • Area 2:
    • Professional: $200/year or $380/2 years
    • Professional Online: $100/year
    • Patient or Family: $35/year
  • Area 3:
    • Professional: $250/year or $475/2 years
    • Patient or Family: $35/year

Journal CoverBipolar Disorders - An International Journal of Psychiatry and Neurosciences is the only peer reviewed scientific journal focusing solely on bipolar disorders. The journal is published with eight issues per year and features research of relevance for the basic mechanisms, clinical aspects and treatment of bipolar disorder.

With an impact factor 5.221 and a ranking of 10th out of 126 peer-reviewed psychiatric journals, Bipolar Disorders is the official Journal of the International Society for Bipolar Disorders.

Since its inception in 1999, the Journal has made a huge impact on the biological psychiatry community and continues to be a valuable resource for authors and researchers alike.

The journal covers research biochemistry, physiology, neuropsychopharmacology, neuroanatomy, neuropathology, genetics, brain imaging, epidemiology, phenomenology, clinical aspects, and therapeutics of bipolar disorders.
