Running in alternate years to the ISBD Biennial Meetings, the ICBD provides a space for membership and administrative meetings of the ISBD.
The ASBD has announced that the fourth conference of the Australasian Society for Bipolar Disorders will be held in Brisbane from 22nd to 24th October 2009 at the Sofitel Hotel.
This conference will build on the success of previous conferences and will focus on the latest developments and research in bipolar disorders. The theme of the conference is Stabilizing Mood: 60 years of progress, to highlight the 60th anniversary of Dr. John Cade’s groundbreaking paper on the anti-manic effects of lithium carbonate. Internationally renowned keynote speakers have been selected to cover developments in biology, psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy of bipolar disorders. The conference will provide a forum for new research in bipolar disorders as well as a program for consumers and carers. Awards for outstanding research, young researcher and posters will be presented by the ASBD. The conference should again prove to be the premier conference on bipolar disorders in Australasia with relevance to researchers, clinicians, mmental health trainees, and consumers and their families.
