Thank you to all participants!

The ISBD meeting in India attracted over 600 delegates and was held over 4 days (3 full conference days) and across two cities: Delhi (27-28 January) and Agra (30 January).  The conference marked the 3rd Biennial Meeting of the International Society for Bipolar Disorders and offered participants a stimulating mix of science and sightseeing.  Among the offerings in the scientific program were sessions focusing on hot topics in bipolar disorder research, genetics, imaging, BPD and medical morbidity, neurocognition in BPD, pediatric bipolar disorder, clinical trials in developing countries, research into community clinical practice, psychotherapies, an advocacy forum and more.  The ISBD also highlighted its own work in a “Moving the field forward session” and again held the “Samuel Gershon Awards for Young Investigators” session, giving junior colleagues a chance to attend and international meeting and give an oral presentation of their work.

As the program was held at two different locations on the “Golden triangle,” participants were offered two different perspectives on the Northern India region, and the opportunity to see one of the wonders of the world, the Taj Mahal.
